MAPEX ARTISTS SUMMER ACTIVITIES
Walfrerdo Reyes Jr. touring with Khaled
Immediately following his clinics in China, Walfredo
Reyes Jr. will be touring in the U.S.A. with Khaled. Khaled is
a pioneer and innovator of Algerian raï, Khaled, and his
latest album Ya-Rayi garnered him a BBC Award for World Music
for the Middle East and North Africa. Walfredo’s musical
collaboration with Khaled not only showcases his mastery several
different kinds of regional primeval rhythm and also allows him
an opportunity to transmit the message of peace through music.
Concerts also feature many renowned producers and musicians such
as Don Was, KC Porter, Elan, Cheb i Sabbah, Freddie Ravel, Luis
Conte, John Fumo, and more surprise guests to be announced in
each city.

Famularo at Kosa Academy
From July 25-30, the famous Kosa Academy drum school
presents the KOSA X Music Festival in Castleton State College – Fine
Arts Theatre. The festival celebrates the 10th anniversary of
KOSA International Percussion Workshops. Many internationally
renowned artists have been invited, including 3 Mapex endorsers:
Liberty DeVitto (Billy Joel), Walfredo Reyes Jr. (Steve Winwood)
and Dom Famularo (Internationally renowned clinician & performer).
They have been invited to attend the festivities and perform
in the concerts.
