EMERGENZA NEWS FROM EUROPE
EMERGENZA BANDS SET THE
FRANKFURT MUSIKMESSE ON FIRE!
Germany— Special guests
from all over Germany and numerous
Emergenza musicians made MESSE’s huge
space resound with notes and
rhythm. During the four days
of the fair, visitors could
not resists stopping by the
Emergenza booth to listen to
music and inquire about the
enthusiastic musicians.
The punk rock band Itchy
Poopzkid - a Mapex endorsemer – set
the Agora Stage on fire! The famous EmilBulls
from Munich, winners in 1997, monopolized
attention by offering an unforgettable
acoustic set directly at the Emergenza
booth. One Side Smile (Pforzheim), Stagewar
(Frankfurt), Treat (Heidelberg) - Karlsruhe
Layabout (Philippsburg), Noch ne Band
(Pforzheim), Pink´s not Red (Mainz),
Always Damaged (Groß-Umstadt),
Auxitt (Nürnberg), - FIN (Giessen),
Cowboy 23 (Giessen) and others performed
on the stage at the Emergenza booth.
THE E-FOUNDATION
This years finalists were officially
announced for this year for the Emergenza Festival
special fund to record, produce and support
the first professional CD of the most interesting
unsigned band.
Members of the foundation
will carefully examine the material provided
by all bands (demos and press kits) and
then vote. The winner will be announced
at the beginning of May. The list of
six finalists are:
AGROOVEMENT from Germany
LEXXI from Scotland
NO RADICAL CHANGE from
Italy
SHAMEROCK for Spain
SIKA from Denmark
THE NAIVES from Spain
B.E.S.T. IN SPAIN!
SPAIN— B.E.S.T. of
Emergenza Seasonal Tour in Spain is a
huge success. 3 bands are currently touring
the coolest venues in the country. They
were selected from among the best acts
that took part in the Festival last season.
Now each band will have at least two
shows in different cities, giving them
an opportunity perform and gain exposure
to new audiences. Here is the tour schedule

LEXXI ON TOUR!

tour, Lexxi, who won second place at the Taubertal
