If you’ve listened to the radio or watched VH-1 recently, no doubt you’ve heard the song, “Eleanor” performed by the band Low Millions. Low Millions drummer is none other than longtime Mapex Artist, Erik Eldenius.
Drumming since the age of four, Erik is a guy that has paid his dues and has an impressive resume that reflects his dedication to his craft. He’s played with Ricky Fante, Vanessa Carlton, Donna Summer and Billy Idol, but Low Millions represents a new level of success for the 27-year-old drummer out of LA.
“One of the great things about this band is that I can totally be myself musically. There’s enough room to do whatever I can think of,” says Erik. “It’s rare that you get that same freedom when working strictly as a hired gun.”
“Eleanor,” the band’s hot single has peaked as high as number 2 on the “AAA” charts and number 28 on Billboard’s Hot Adult Contemporary chart. The video for the song can also be seen in heavy rotation on VH-1.
It’s an exciting journey, you know to make a record, to have a single, to put out a video,to be on tour all over, says Erik. “So I think it’s important to sometimes stop and think, ‘Hey, this is exactly what I wanted to do when I was a kid!’”
Low Millions is expected to tour this spring and summer in support of its debut album, Ex-Girlfriends. |
