KEIRON PEPPER IN TAIWAN

Mapex artist Keiron Pepper is the drummer of The Prodigy, the most important electronic band in the UK of the past 15 years. The Prodigy has won several awards including Best Dance Act and Best Dance Video from MTV in 1994. In 1997 they won Best Dance, Best Alternative and Best Video from MTV and Best British Dance Act from the BRIT Awards.

Keiron has been touring with The Prodigy in Asia and after almost 10 days of gigs in Japan, they arrived in Taiwan on Feb 20th. Taipei is the home of Mapex’s headquarters and Keiron met up with Mapex Artist Relations Coordinator Miles Chen who had prepared an exciting new drum set for Keiron to try out.  Miles personally brought all the drums and hardware to the Chung San Soccer Stadium where The Prodigy would be performing and stayed late into the night, working with Keiron’s drum technician to make sure that everything was just right.

Kerion and The Prodigy rocked an audience of over 10,000, the biggest outdoor electronic music party in Taipei. Most of the concert goes danced all night long. Keiron provided incredible punch with his Deep Forest kit. He also used 22” bass drum and one 16” floor tom, 18” floor tom, and two 14” snare, one steel, one wood.
